Covid-19 catch up premium
COVID CATCH-UP PREMIUM
The Government has recognised that “Children and young people across the country have experienced unprecedented disruption to their education as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19)" and have allocated funding to address this.
The funding can be used for specific activities to support pupils to catch up for lost teaching during lockdown and schools have the flexibility to spend this funding in the best way for their cohort and circumstances.
We will be using this money to increase staffing for year groups which will, in turn support pupils with their learning in the classroom.
The Government has allowed schools to carry forward any unspent funding from the coronavirus (COVID-19) catch-up premium grant from 2020/21. Please see the statement below for information on how this will be spent in 2021-22.
