Summer Activity Scheme

18 June 2021 (by admin)

We will be running provision during the summer break.

Welcome to this Summer’s Multi-Activity Camp where your child will enjoy a variety of activities both competitive and non-competitive such as sports, gymnastics, cycling, dance, crafts and so much more led by school staff including Mr Evans, Mrs Patel, Miss Fisher and Mr Flanagan.

With the use of Owl’s Hoot, the hall and being outdoors this will allow us to have a mix of year groups, but we need you to be aware of this when booking. As in our school opening plan, we will still be insisting on scrupulous hand hygiene with hand washing, use of hand sanitiser and effective ventilation.

There will be a variety of sessions that can be booked, and all sessions are based on an hourly rate of £2.75. There is no sibling discount. We will only give refunds for the camp if we do not get the required number of children to run.

8am – 5pm £24.75

9am – 3pm £16.50

8am – 1pm £13.75

9am – 1pm £11.00

1pm – 5pm £11.00

Pre-school will also be providing their services for foundation children which includes lunch and a snack so you can choose for them to be based there or at the half term camp with the older children. For Pre-school holiday care, which is at a higher cost (due to higher staff ratios and provision of food), please speak separately to the office.

Only Woodland Grange children from Foundation stage up to year 6 can attend this camp.

Can we please remind you that we have a no-jewellery policy for the camp. Children will need a packed lunch (if here over lunchtime), a water bottle, a coat and if staying all day, a morning and afternoon snack may be a good idea. Children should wear suitable footwear (trainers) for the sports activities and a change of clothes may also be worthwhile in case they get hot and sweaty! You may also wish to consider a sun hat and applying some sunscreen if the weather is sunny.

Camp payments are to be made online only using the School Gateway on-line payment system. Cash payments at the office or on the day of the camp will not be accepted.

It is our policy that when you have signed your child for a camp they must be collected by a responsible adult. If you wish your child to walk home by themselves, you should send a letter or tell a staff leader that they are allowed to do so.

There will be building work during the summer holiday to replace the Year 3 mobile classrooms but there will be measures in place to ensure the safety of all pupils on-site.

The camp can be fully funded for Pupil Premium entitled children (for a 9am-3pm day) and parents of these children can book through the school office rather than having to book and pay via the School Gateway.

If you need to contact a member of staff at any point during the day, once the camp has started, please contact Mr Evans on 07375350728.
