We Have been awarded the School Games Bronze Award!
We are delighted to inform parents that Woodland Grange has been awarded the School Games Bronze Award for 2019-2020.
The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their P.E. provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress.
Sport is something that we value at school. Children have the chance to participate in a number of competitons across the year. There are lots of sport and active clubs available across the school. Children re taking part in their 'Daily Boost' where they are asked to add active minutes to their day (from classroom sessions to extra activities at break or lunch time).
We want all our children to be active at school. The benefits are huge: increased concentration in the classroom. Better mental and physical health. Being disciplined and understanding how they can get better at something as well as stepping out of their comfort zone and trying something new! Well done to Miss Bowe and Miss Benjamin who have helped to inspire everyone at school.
