SPORTS HALL ATHLETICS 2024-25
The year 5/6 Sportshall Athletics team did a fantastic job, winning the competition and making it to the next round, which will be in March.
Y5 & Y6 TABLE TENNIS
The boys and Girls teams both made it to the Level 2 finals.
At stage 3 the boys finished in 5th place out of schools across the entire county.

The girls came 4th in the Danone Football Competition.

DODGEBALL
Our Year 5 and 6 Dodgeball team have reached the County Finals. Along the way, we finished 1st, beating schools from Oadby and Wigston, then finishing runners-up against schools from all of Leicestershire.
At the County Finals, the children finished in 4th place. This was the third stage of the competition. An amazing achievement by all the children.
Children from Year 4 represented the school respectfully and performed brilliantly at the Dodgeball festival.
BOCCIA
Two children competing in Boccia for the first time, who both did a great job and represented the school so well.
KURLING
Kurling winners for Oadby and Wigston and spirit of the games winners.
Quicksticks
Spirit of the games winners for the Year 5 and 6 Quicksticks competition.
Year 4 children had a brilliant time at the quicksticks event. All the children took part for in a school event for the first time.
Sportsability
As the highest Oadby and Wigston team we have reached the next stage of the Sportsability competition. The children showed fantastic respect to all the leaders at the event.
Gymnastics
We are so proud of the all the children involved in Gymnastics. At the Rise Gymnastics competition we came away with 3 trophies and Spirit of the Games.
Netball
A third place finish for our Netball team at the Oadby and Wigston stage.
Year 4 Boys Festival
The children represented the school so respectfully.
Saffron Lane Athletics
At the Athletics event this year, children from years 3 up to year 6 competed so well with many children finishing in the top 3 places.
Cricket
We took children from years 5 and 6 to Countesthorpe Cricket club for both boys' and girls competitions, with both teams finishing in 3rd place.
