Home learning

Wednesday 5th & Friday 7th July

Parents and Carers can use this page to assist with home learning. There are downloadable files and links to activities for children to complete.

Please remember that children can complete any homework activities that have been set by their class teacher. Practise phonics, spellings and times tables at home. Complete any reading for the week (families may be able to share a story together).

Families may also wish to refer to our year group pages for more information. There is information on specific things to work on at home. You may wish to look at the weekly maths focus, for example.

Search under the 'Our class' drop down menu above and choose the correct year group.

We hope that you enjoy having a range of activities to explore at home and share with your family. There is no expectation that they will be completed. Teachers will not mark any home learning activities.

Sports Day

We have recently held our annual sports days. We had a separate event for FS2, KS1 and KS2 children. Have a go at some of the sporting related activities below.

There is also a sports quiz, click to download the pdf and ask an adult or friend to read out the questions. Can you work out the correct answer?

There are lots of other sport related activities you could do at home. Can you make an A-Z list of different sports? Can you choose a sporting superstar and make a factfile all about them? (Use Swiggle to do some research). Make some sporty activity cards and set up your own sequence.

Lots of children at school love skipping. It is a really good exercise to do and requires a lot of practice! Can you count how many skips you can do? Why not set yourself a skipping challenge with a friend or member of your family? You could even make up your own skipping sequence.

There is a BBC Live Lesson all about getting moving and keeping active. Click below to visit BBC Live Lessons.

There are also linked pages on the BBC Schools website all about PE.

Don't forget about the BBC 'Supermovers' website. Learn and practice a dance routine at home, all linked to different subjects at school.
